PentestPortal - Release June/July 2023

We are excited to announce that we are moving forward in making PentestPortal suitable to release for the wide public! We are aiming at mid September '23 that the new website PentestPortal.io will be released, where anyone can sign-up easy to get your very own PentestPortal instance. As information security has our main focus, we are currently reviewing the architecture. Also, we are developing internal stuff to manage all SaaS and self-hosted instances. Therefore, in these release notes not too much to share - but wait a little more and new features will come in soon!

Features

• #629 - The status label of a pentest project is clickable now (saves you more time to change things).

• #631 - We have changed the way the container image is built and have made it more secure than ever.

• #641 - We have added several Kubernetes health checks to the deployment of PentestPortal.

Bugfixes

• #595 - Not all fields were included in the pentest overview export.

• #624 - Some fields in a retest were not shown correctly.

• #628 - The e-mail address for system notifications was not stored correctly and could therefore not be updated.

• #633 - We removed some fields that are not in use.

• #644 - Fixed some minor issues coming from our static source code analyzer (SonarQube)

We believe that PentestPortal will greatly enhance the experience of individual penetration testers, penetration testing firms and enterprises conducting their own pentests and that PentestPortal contributes to more efficient and effective penetration testing.
