We're happy to announce a new update for PentestPortal! In this release, we've addressed several bugs and made significant progress on the migration to Nuxt3. While users won't notice these changes just yet, we're on track to roll out the upgrade around January 2025. Stay tuned!

Features

  • #PP-317 - Support additional file extensions for uploads:
The portal now supports uploading the following additional file types:

    • .IPA (iOS package files)

    • .APK (Android package files)

    • .MPK (Mendix app files)

    • .html (Nessus reports)

    • .md (Markdown files)

  • #PP-324 - Improved filtering in the Scope tab:
The filters for External/Internal in the scope tab now also include VLANs (Internal) and WANs (External) based on their IP ranges. Previously, only individual IP addresses were filtered.

Bug Fixes

  • #PP-311 - Bullet point padding in reproduction steps:
Corrected the padding issue for bullet points and their corresponding text within reproduction steps.

  • #PP-316 - Reproduction step numbering issue:
Fixed the numbering of reproduction steps, which sometimes broke across multiple pages with lengthy text.

  • #PP-318 - PDF generation issue with Chrome Headless:
Resolved an issue where some reports couldn't be generated due to Chrome headless PDF rendering by adding additional checks.

  • #PP-319 - Word ignore function in spell checker:
Fixed an issue where ignored words in the spell checker were not being saved as valid. This improvement enhances the writing experience for users.

  • #PP-322 - Instance owner translations:
Resolved an issue where translations/text templates for instance owners in SaaS instances (via pentestportal.io) could not be edited.

  • #PP-323 - Rare white page in reports:
Fixed a rare edge case where a white page would appear in generated reports due to pixel alignment issues.

  • #PP-325 - Missing page numbers in Table of Contents:
Fixed an issue where page numbers were occasionally missing from the Table of Contents after various adjustments.
